Tu B’Av Cabaret 5782

This August, JMM is hosting our first ever Tu B’Av Cabaret!
This virtual event will take place on the evening of August 11th on the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Av. Tu B’Av is a full moon festival dedicated to love and dancing that comes six days after Tisha B’Av, the anniversary of both Temples’ destruction. You can read more about the holiday here and read about a Tu b’Av ritual here.
For our event, we will be reclaiming the holiday and hosting a love-themed Cabaret. Hosted by JMM Community Artist-in-Residence Naomi Weintraub and Visitor Experiences Coordinator, Noah Mitchel, the event will feature music, drag, burlesque, poetry, and more.
Performances will take place at 6:00-7:00 PM ET and there will be an optional virtual schmooze afterwards from 7:00 to 7:30 PM ET.
Stay tuned for more information about the line-up of performers and printable art activities!
