Mitzvah Project for the Esperanza Center

For the sixth year in a row, JMM is pleased to partner with JVC to participate in Mitzvah Day. This year we will be working to support the Esperanza Center, a Baltimore-based organization whose mission is to welcome immigrants by offering hope, compassionate services, and the power to improve their lives. We will be working together to create backpacks filled with school supplies (and homemade stress balls!) for their students. Activities are suitable for all ages and no artistic talent is required.

Looking for another way to help? Become a Change Maker – donate your spare change on Mitzvah Day! The Associated will be collecting change here at the Museum from 10am – 12pm – empty out your tzedakah boxes, roll your pennies, clean out that junk drawer, and anywhere else you squirrel those pesky extra coins to help support the many and varied programs of The Associated.

(Did you know: if everyone in Jewish Baltimore donated 4 extra quarters a week to The Associated, we could raise an additional $5 million EACH YEAR to support community organizations like JMM? That’s A LOT!)

A special thank you to Blick Art Materials, Office Depot, Oriental Trading Company,  Bulk Office Supply.com, Raymond Geddes, Sue Ann’s Office Supplies, and Artist & Craftsman Supply for their donations of materials. If your business is interested in making a tax-deductible donation of materials, please contact Emma Glaser, JMM program assistant at eglaser@jewishmuseummd.org or call 443-873-5169.

After our Mitzvah morning, sit back and relax as we screen the TV mini-series Houdini, starring Adrien Brody. More info on this afternoon program here. *Please note that this screening is a ticketed event.*
