Men’s and women’s experiences varied greatly during this terrible period—both how they were treated by the Nazis and how they responded. Join us for an exploration of the ways women’s biological and sociological differences from men were reflected in their responses to the Holocaust.

The presentation will be followed by a facilitated discussion and light refreshments (dietary laws observed). In connection with this series a bus will be available from Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (BHC) to the Jewish Museum of Maryland (JMM). The bus will depart BHC for the JMM at noon, then depart the JMM at 3:00pm following the program and reception. Bus reservations will close 48 hours before the programs start time. The Recovery & Renewal series is made possible through the generosity of the Lois Rosenfield Caring Fund of Baltimore Hebrew Congregation.

This program is presented in relation to the Stitching History from the Holocaust exhibit, on view April 7 – August 4, 2019. Tickets to public programs include admission to the Museum.
