Learn the basic techniques of the traditional Jewish folk art of papercutting. As early as the 14th century, Jewish artists designed papercuts for ritual purposes, holidays, and family life. Today, papercutting has become a popular art form once again.

Join renowned papercut artist Katherine Fahey for an introduction to this ancient, yet modern art form. Katherine will speak about the history of papercutting and guide participants to produce a work of their own. Templates will be provided, but you may bring your own drawing to use instead. All materials are included, and you can take your design home.

No experience necessary, but participants should be comfortable using an X-Acto knife.
