Naturalization Ceremony: World Refugee Day

The Jewish Museum of Maryland, in collaboration with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, will be hosting a Naturalization Ceremony for 20 new citizens on Tuesday, June 20 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will take place on World Refugee Day and will be held at the JMM. Marvin Pinkert, Executive Director of the Jewish Museum of Maryland will provide welcoming remarks. USCIS Supervisory Immigration Services Officer Bari Myers will administer the Oath of Allegiance to the candidates and the keynote speaker will be Martha Weiman, a local holocaust survivor. Following the ceremony, participants and guests are invited to join for light refreshments.

World Refugee Day is celebrated each year on June 20th. Communities across the United States hold World Refugee Day events throughout the month of June.  World Refugee Day is a day celebrated around the globe to honor the strength and resilience of refugees.
