Join Dr. Neil Rubin as we explore Operation Ezra and Nechemiah. In that stunning 1951-1952 rescue operation, the State of Israel spirited more than 130,000 endangered Iraqi Jews out of their native land to the Jewish state.

Upon arriving in Israel, these new citizens brought many colorful customs and traditions, but this also marked the functional end of a 2,500-year-old community whose scholars and leaders had molded Judaism itself. Now more than 65 years later, learn how the Iraqi Jews changed the country’s political, religious and social scene.
