Late Night on Lloyd Street: “The Crowd Was Hushed to Silence:” Lincoln, Gettysburg and the Power of Presidential Address
Tuesday November 19, 6 – 9pm
Don your best stove pipe hat and trim your chin curtain beard! Come and play Lincoln with us as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg address. Participate in a live-action reading of the famous speech, take a special curator-led tour of our newly opened Civil War exhibit and dive in to a discussion on presidential addresses.
6:15pm – Karen Falk, JMM curator, will lead a special tour of Passages Through the Fire: Jews and the Civil War. You don’t want to miss this in-depth look at our brand new exhibit.
7:15pm – Live Action Participatory Reading of the Gettysburg Address
As with all late nights there will be plenty of beer, wine, snacks and conversation.
