INVITES YOU TO JOIN US FOR

Tot Shabbat at the DBJCC

Join us on Friday morning at 10:30 as we welcome Shabbat with singing, dancing, puppets and more. 

Your child will learn the blessings over the candles, wine (grape juice) and Challah. Families will also engage in a Jewish ritual craft project to take home.

Salon Series: Day at the Museum

A Day at the Museum – Tour the ZAP! POW! BAM! exhibit and hear from the writers/illustrators of “If I’d Known Then: A Graphic Memoir.”

Meet at the Jewish Museum of Maryland at 12pm for lunch on your own on Lombard Street’s Corned Beef Row.

Visit the exhibit ZAP! POW! BAM! The Superhero: The Golden Age of Comic Books, 1938 – 1950.

At 1:30 Baltimore-based artists Tom Chalkey and Craig Hankin discuss their latest joint venture, “If I’d Known Then: A Graphic Memoir,” a coming of age novel in comic form.

This program is Free to Museum Members and Myerberg Center members.  The program is included in the cost of admission for non-members.

Exhibition Opening The Synagogue Speaks

The Synagogue Speaks opened to rave reviews on Sunday March 21. The original multi-media exhibition in the newly-restored Lloyd Street Synagogue tells the story of the landmark synagogue and the three immigrant congregations–two Jewish and one Roman Catholic–that occupied it. Visitors toured the exhibition and enjoyed a performance by Baltimore Hebrew Congregation’s Choir.
