The Jewish Museum of Maryland, a dynamic, growing museum of regional Jewish history and culture, seeks a creative and enthusiastic Program Manager to conceptualize, organize, and manage the Museum’s full range of public programs and special events. The Program Manager will work with the education and curatorial departments to create inventive programs and events based on the Museum’s exhibits, collections, historic sites, core themes, and mission. Working within the Education and Program Department, and reporting to the Director of Education, the Program Manager occasionally leads Museum tours for groups and walk-in visitors. The Program Manager will also market the Museum and its programs, will work with designers to create promotional materials, and will help to connect the Museum to its many constituencies.
Candidate must possess skills in the following areas: writing, public speaking, computers (knowledge of using Mac computer as well as graphic design software), and working in a team environment. Program development and marketing experience desired. Bachelor’s degree plus three to five years relevant professional experience are required.
