Art Sparks: Mezuzah Magic!

Looking for a fun summer art activity for the whole family? On Sunday, July 10 at 2:00 pm eastern, Naomi Weintraub, JMM’s Community Artist-In-Residence, will lead a program for families and children aged 5-12 called Art Sparks: Mezuzah Magic. Participants will learn about the magic of mezuzahs, traditional amulets hung in Jewish homes, and create a mezuzah to take home!

This event is free and onsite at the Jewish Museum of Maryland. Capacity is limited so please register your family ahead of time.


Naomi Rose Weintraub (they/them) is a mixed-media artist, based in Baltimore, MD. Naomi uses embroidery, quilting, printmaking, drawing, animations, and installation work to explore themes of Jewish ritual, activism, and play. Naomi is currently working as the Community Artist-in-Residence at the Jewish Museum of Maryland in Baltimore, MD.
