Listen to stories, sing songs, and join in activities that celebrate acceptance and inclusivity. This program is open to all, and the activities are perfect for children ages 3-8.

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories for kids. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.

This event is presented in partnership with the Gordon Center for the Performing Arts, the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore, the JOC Mishpacha Project, Hinenu: The Baltimore Justice Shtiebl, and the Baltimore Board of Rabbis.

Thank you Rabbi Ariana, and all of Hinenu, for being a part of the event! We look forward to welcoming your community!

Thank you for offering this program. My almost two year old would love to attend. Thank you for offering this programming.

Thank you for your support of the program! We’re glad to share so many diverse and interesting stories for children and adults.

I can already feel the fabulous! Last time my kids attended in person (in NYC) there were protests against it outside…so glad Drag Queen Story Hour is still going strong!❤️🏳️‍🌈
