Join Marjorie Agosin for an exploration of Jewish life in Chile. She will share stories of the Jewish community in Chile, her experiences living and leaving the country, and how this history informs her fiction writing.

Marjorie Agosin is the Andrew Mellon professorship in the Humanities at Wellesley College. She is a prolific author and human rights activist as well as the recipient of many literary awards including the Gabriela Mistral Medal of Honor granted by the Government of Chile and the Pura Belpre award for her YA novel I lived on Butterfly Hill. Agosin is a poet, novelist, and memoirist, and her work as received international attention and featured in the New York Times, Forbes Magazine, and the Washington Independent. She divides her time between Wellesley Massachusetts, the coast of Maine, and the coast of Chile.
