Want to be part of creating an installation for the museum’s upcoming exhibit “A Fence Around The Torah: Safety And Unsafety In Jewish Life”?

Come to the museum on Sunday, November 7 for a community art-making and singing workshop with artist Daniel Toretsky, the artist behind the installation, called “We Would Come Home But You’ve Locked The Door.”

“We will gather around a diasporic altar, built among the trees and inspired by Jewish folklore,” Daniel says. “It will be a repository of images and melodies bearing witness to our struggles with the Jewish mainstream and the complexity of ‘ahavat yisrael’: love among fellow Jews.”Masks are required while indoors. Early registration is recommended as spaces are limited.
