Re-dedication of the Lloyd Street Synagogue

On Thursday, March 18, 2010, over 200 invited guests attended a reception and ceremony to commemorate the rededication of the restored Lloyd Street Synagogue. The program included remarks by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Rabbi Andrew Busch of Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, City Council President Jack Young, and His Eminence, William Henry Keeler, Cardinal Archbishop Emeritus of Baltimore.

Exhibition Opening The Synagogue Speaks

The Synagogue Speaks opened to rave reviews on Sunday March 21. The original multi-media exhibition in the newly-restored Lloyd Street Synagogue tells the story of the landmark synagogue and the three immigrant congregations–two Jewish and one Roman Catholic–that occupied it. Visitors toured the exhibition and enjoyed a performance by Baltimore Hebrew Congregation’s Choir.
