The Lloyd Street Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in Maryland, making it a beautiful space full of history and meaning. Join countless others who, over its 175-year-history, have held their weddings, b’nai mitzvot, baby namings, and more in the space. This space is not wheelchair accessible and requires walking up and down steps to access. Please note, there are no food or drinks permitted in the Lloyd Street Synagogue.

The Davidson Lobby is the main space of the Jewish Museum of Maryland. With two exhibit galleries and a fully accessible entrance and restrooms, this space is perfect for hosting professional development, receptions, and more. This space has flexible technology for presentations and lectures, and parties can have food and drinks in the main lobby.

Your main rental contact is our Director of Programs and Visitor Services, at tattwood@jewishmuseummd.org or (443) 873-5177. Rentals include four hours of staff time at the event, as well as time for an initial walkthrough, staffing of rehearsal, photography session, and a phone consultation. Except for the phone consultation, all staff time is by appointment only.

A security guard is included in the price of rental for four hours for the event. More hours of security guard time, as well as a second or more security guards, are additional charges, depending on the party’s request. The security guard is an employee of the security company contracted by the Associated, and they are usually familiar with the Jewish Museum of Maryland and working with JMM staff.

Rental parties are responsible for set up and clean up of the space so that JMM can resume normal operations once the event is over.

Please contact the Director of Programs and Visitor Services, tattwood@jewishmuseummd.org, for the cancellation policy.

Parking

JMM does not have its own public parking lot. There is a free, City-owned parking lot directly across the street from the Museum. We encourage guests to check there first for parking and then using street parking around the Museum. Make sure guests check the signs for street parking. If you are expecting a large crowd, we suggest that you reserve the parking lot for guests with limited mobility.

We also have a 10-minute loading zone directly in front of the Museum for guests to drop off those with limited mobility.

Public Transportation

The Charm City Circulator consists of three separate routes-the Green Route which runs from City Hall to Fells Point to Johns Hopkins, the Purple Route which runs from Penn Station to Federal Hill, and the Orange Route which runs from Hollins Market to Harbor East, and includes a called stop for the Jewish Museum of Maryland at Lombard and Lloyd Street.

We encourage residents and visitors to use this service-not only is it free and green, it’s efficient. A shuttle arrives every 10 minutes at the designated stops on each route. Use it as your connector to your regular train, bus, or commuter lot-or just to get a taste of all Baltimore City has to offer.

Visit the Charm City Circulator website for more information on visiting the Jewish Museum of Maryland using this great new service: http://www.charmcitycirculator.com.
