Schindler’s List

Sunday, June 30, 219 at 1pm

Speaker: Lola Hahn

This event is at capacity.

Lola Hahn discovered the story of her family’s Holocaust experience only after reading Schindler’s List by Thomas Keneally. The book was filled with familiar names and, in part, told the story of her own mother and aunts. Join us for this very special lecture in which Lola will share the experiences of her family, including the phenomenal impact of Oskar Schindler.

The presentation will be followed by a facilitated discussion and light refreshments (dietary laws observed). In connection with this series a bus will be available for any attendees from Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (BHC) to the Jewish Museum of Maryland (JMM). The bus will depart BHC for the JMM at noon, then depart the JMM at 3:00pm following the program and reception. Bus reservations will close 48 hours before the program’s start time (see link above).

Following the presentation and reception, we will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of Schindler’s List with a screening of the movie in full, starting at 2:45 pm. If you plan to take the bus down but wish to stay the for the screening and need assistance with transportation, please contact Trillion Attwood at tattwood@jewishmuseummd.org.

This program is presented in relation to the Stitching History from the Holocaust exhibit, on view April 7 – August 4, 2019. Tickets to public programs include admission to the Museum.
