JMM Annual Meeting featuring Levyosn’s Lullaby

Join the JMM for our 2023/5783 Annual Meeting, followed by a live musical performance from Levyosn. The event will include celebration of the Museum’s work this year, approval of the incoming Board slate, and a dessert reception before the music begins.
Levyosn is a Boston-based trio featuring musicians Adah Hetko, Lysander Jaffe, and Kaia Berman-Peters. Taking their name from the Ashkenazi Hebrew word for the Leviathan, a mythical sea creature, Levyosn performs original and traditional Yiddish, Hebrew, and Sephardic songs in finely crafted and harmony-rich arrangements. They will perform songs from their debut album Levyosn’s Lullaby, share the cultural context of the songs, and give listeners the chance to sing and dance along.
Listen to Levyosn’s latest release above.
The performance is part of Material/Inheritance: Contemporary Work by New Jewish Culture Fellows, our current exhibition, which features 30 artists whose work has been supported by the New Jewish Culture Fellowship (NJCF), a national arts fellowship that advances the work of groundbreaking Jewish artists.
