JMM Annual Meeting 2025/5785

Join JMM for our 2025/5785 Annual Meeting: Participatory Transformation!

This Jewish American Heritage Month, celebrate with the Jewish Museum of Maryland at our 2025/5785 Annual Meeting!

Explore the newly transformed Museum building, reflect on JMM’s work over the past year, see the incoming board slate, experience the stories behind family photos that community leaders share in the Museum’s participatory installation project Picturing Past + Present, and recognize student essay contest winners.

The Identity and Political Participation in the U.S. Essay Contest, a partnership between JMM and the Thomas Kennedy Center, invites middle school students across several Maryland counties to reflect on the State’s 1826 “Jew Bill” and its impact on national history and life in the communities that students are connected to.

The program begins at 6:00 PM. Afterward, attendees can explore the exhibitions To Say I Was Here: Arabic, Greek, Ladino, and Turkish-Speaking Immigrant Musicians Recorded in the U.S., 1916–1966 and Next Generations: Turning the Page, the interactives and collections display portals in the David M. Rubenstein Arcade, and engage with the new audio/video production studio.

Kosher heavy hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.

Accessibility: The Museum building is wheelchair accessible, including the single-stall and multi-stall bathrooms. Food will be served indoors. Face masks are recommended but not required at this event. Complimentary masks will be provided.

Parking: There is a small, free, City-owned parking lot directly across Lloyd Street from the Museum entrance. There is street parking available in the neighborhood.
